Updates are provided free to all registered users of PastPerfect and may also be used to update the Evaluation software.

The update file is approximately 4 MB.

Instructions for installing these Updates:
We offer two versions of the update a Single File Update and a Multiple File Update.

Single File Update
This file will update PastPerfect on the computer you are currently working on, or a computer connected via a network to the computer you are currently working on. Once you have downloaded the file pp3Update.exe, follow these steps to update PastPerfect:

Start PastPerfect and backup all data from the Utilities menu.
Close all programs.
If you are on a network, make sure that no other workstations are using PastPerfect.
Locate the update file "pp3Update.exe" on your Desktop or with the Windows Explorer, and double click on it. This will launch the update program.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
When the update procedure is complete, start PastPerfect and from the Utilities menu, Reindex All Files.
If PastPerfect is installed on a network, each workstation will be automatically updated the next time the program is launched.

Multiple File Update
This file can be used to update PastPerfect on a computer other than the one you are currently working on. Once you have downloaded the file pp3UpdateDisks.exe to your harddrive, you can extract four files that can be copied onto four floppy disks as follows:

Using the Windows Explorer, locate the downloaded file pp3UpdateDisks.exe and double-click on it. This will extract four files (Setup.exe, setup.2, setup.3 and setup.4) into the c:\pp3Update folder.
Copy the files Setup.exe onto a blank floppy diskette and label it "Disk #1"
Copy the file Setup.2 onto another blank floppy diskette and label it "Disk #2"
Copy the file Setup.3 onto another blank floppy diskette and label it "Disk #3"
Copy the file Setup.4 onto another blank floppy diskette and label it "Disk #4"
Take the disks to the computer with PastPerfect.
Start PastPerfect and backup all data from the Utilities menu.
Close all programs.
If you are on a network, make sure that no other workstations are using PastPerfect.
Insert Disk #1 into the drive
Open My Computer, Double click on 3 1/2 Floppy A
Double click on Setup.exe and follow the instructions on the screen
When the update procedure is complete, start PastPerfect and from the Utilities menu, Reindex All Files.
If PastPerfect is installed on a network, each workstation will be automatically updated the next time the program is launched.
