March 2007: PastPerfect and Windows Vista
The support office has tested PastPerfect Version 4.0 with the current release of the Microsoft Vista operating system. All installations of PastPerfect on Vista computers must install at version 4.0d1 or higher. Previous installation CDs for PastPerfect 4.0 are not compatible with the Vista operating system. PastPerfect Version 2 and Version 3 users will need to upgrade to PastPerfect 4.0 if they wish to use PastPerfect on a Microsoft Vista computer. For updated PastPerfect hardware requirements, please go to Hardware Requirements on this website.
All current users who are planning to use PastPerfect 4.0 and/or Virtual Exhibit 4 on Microsoft Vista computers, including users who are upgrading existing systems to Vista, should contact our support office toll-free at 800-562-6080 for special Vista-compatible installation CDs.

November 2006: Artefacts Canada Export Tool.
An interface that allows you to select the catalog records and images you wish to publish on the Artefacts Canada website is available to all Artefacts Canada participants who are also PastPerfect Museum Software version 4.0 users. Click here for more details!

PastPerfect and XP Service Pack 2
The support office has tested version 2.6 and version 3.5 with the latest Windows XP release and found no problems related to performance, functionality, or reliability. Given the considerable improvements that Microsoft has made to windows XP with this service pack, we recommend that PastPerfect users upgrade at their convenience.
