Activities & Planned Giving

The Activities & Planned Giving Accordion contains two fields:

The Activities, Programs & Events Attended field is for listing any activities, programs and events that the person attended. It is controlled by an authority file.

The Description of Planned Giving Program is a memo field where you can include a brief description of a contact's planned giving mechanism.  Planned giving, or deferred giving, is a method of making a charitable contribution in which some or all components of the gift are only distributed, or have ownership finally resolved, after some event or some period has passed. A wisely established planned giving mechanism will allow charitable gifts to avoid estate taxes that may apply if the gift is instead included in the donor's estate. Planned giving mechanisms can also provide benefits for the donor during his or her lifetime, including tax deductions. Planned giving involves complex legal documents that are outside the scope of PastPerfect, so this field is solely meant for brief notes.
