User's Guides
The PastPerfect 4.0 and 3.5 user's guides are available in PDF format.
The PastPerfect 2.5 user's guide is in MS-Word. The download files are self-extracting
compressed files. To download, click on the file name and choose the Save
option. Once the
file is downloaded onto your computer, double-click on it to extract the PDF
document. Since the files are large we also offer a separate download for
each chapter in the 4.0 Guide.

Instructions for loading the LCT GM 1 Subject terms into the PastPerfect Subjects Authority file:
PastPerfect Version
4.0 & 3.5
1. Download the file TGM1.exe listed above
2. Locate the file on your computer and double click on it. This will extract
two files "TGM1.dbf" and "TGM1.fpt" into the c:\pp4update
folder.
3. Start PastPerfect and click on Utilities/Global Update/Open Command Window
4. Type this command: use &_subjects and press Submit
5. Then type this command: append from c:\pp4update\tgm1 and press
Submit
Note: If you want to
erase all current entries in the subjects authority file before loading the
LC TGM1 then enter the command zap after step 4 and before step 5.
