User's Guides

The PastPerfect User's Guide is available in PDF format. To view the file, click on the link and your browser should open the PDF automatically. To save the file, right click on the link and use the "Save As" tool to copy the file to your computer. The download files are self-extracting compressed files. Since the files are large we offer a separate download for each chapter.

Instructions for loading the LCT GM 1 Subject terms into the PastPerfect Subjects Authority file:

PastPerfect Version 5.0 users can download the file here.

1. Download the file TGM1.exe listed above
2. Locate the file on your computer and double click on it. This will extract two files "TGM1.dbf" and "TGM1.fpt" into the c:\pp4update folder.
3. Start PastPerfect and click on Utilities/Global Update/Open Command Window
4. Type this command: use &_subjects and press Submit
5. Then type this command: append from c:\pp4update\tgm1 and press Submit

Note: If you want to erase all current entries in the subjects authority file before loading the LC TGM1 then enter the command zap after step 4 and before step 5.
