Introduction to PastPerfect 5.0

Contact Lists help you build lists of donors, volunteers, and members without knowing a Boolean statement. Once contacts are on lists, you can easily view and print lists as well as send emails and mail merge letters written in MS‑Word.

Objects Catalog - History Screen View provides all the fields necessary for cataloging decorative arts, ethnographic materials, household furnishings, machinery, and other historic objects and artifacts.

Photos Catalog allows you to record information about each photograph or negative in your collection including: object type, photographer, title, film size, print size, place, people, description, and class.

Archives Catalog - Standard Screen View handles cataloging of archival material with the essential data elements as defined in the ISAD(G) General International Archival Description, by the International Council on Archives (ICA) Ad Hoc Commission on Descriptive Standards. Archives may be cataloged as a single item such as a letter, manuscript, or diary. In addition, you may use the multi-level linking capability of PastPerfect to catalog and link a complex set of documents such as the complete records of a corporation.

Library Catalog has fields for call number, titles, author, subject, publisher, published date, physical description, series, edition, summary, LCCN, ISBN, object ID, object name, accession number, status, condition, etc.

Catalog Lists will revolutionize how you use PastPerfect. To select records, you can use Research or select records individually to add to Catalog Lists that can then be viewed, printed, moved to outgoing loans, exhibits, and much more.

Image Management is an easy‑to‑use interface that allows you to acquire images directly from a scanner, digital camera, or any other TWAIN device. Images can be attached to the following record types: Objects, Photos, Archives, Library, Exhibits, Sites, People Biographies, Contacts. *Requires the optional MultiMedia Upgrade.

Objects Catalog - Archaeology Screen View provides all the fields required for cataloging objects that have been recovered from an archaeological site, including Site Name and Number, Unit, Level, Stratum, and more. All items from the same site can be linked to a Site record that contains additional information.

Objects Catalog - Art Screen View allows you to enter information about your art collections. It contains special fields for catalog art objects, including Collector, Title, Artists, Signed Name, Signature Location, Medium, Material, Technique, Provenance, and more.

Objects Catalog - Geology Screen View contains special fields for catalog geological objects such as Rock Type, Chemical Composition, Hardness, Luster, Streak, Grain Size, and Color.

Objects Catalog - Natural History Screen View is used for cataloging paleontological, biological, or botanical specimens.

Archives Catalog - Map Screen View contains specialized fields required for cataloging maps in your collection.

Archives Catalog - Music Collection Screen View allows you to create and track information about music recordings including Album Title, Group name, Primary Artist, Instrument, Genre, Recording Label, Recording Media, and Other Artists & Instruments. You may also create a complete track list for each recording, which includes Track Number, Track Length, Song Title, Composer, Group, Conductor, Orchestra, and up to ten artists and instruments.

Archives Catalog - Oral History Screen View contains the fields necessary for cataloging oral histories including Recording Media, Narrator’s Name, Interviewer, Interview Place, Length of Interview, and more. You can also create a recording list which includes fields for Media ID, Side, Start Time, and Subjects.

Campaigns provide an easy way to organize, manage, and review your fundraising campaigns in one place. Campaign records have fields to record the Campaign Name, Manager, Fund, Purpose, and Start and End Dates. You can also create various activities for your campaign. Once a campaign is created, donations and pledges may be applied towards it.

Report Maker provides users with the ability to create your own reports from scratch.
